Tablet X: The Key of Time

Time is not what we’ve been told.

It’s not a straight arrow. Not a ticking clock.

It is a spiraling structure, a living field—and once you learn how to attune to it, you can bend it, move through it, even escape it.

In Tablet X, Thoth offers the actual mechanics of time as it is understood by the Masters.

He begins by stating plainly:

To the uninitiated, time feels absolute.

But to those who master silence and thought, time becomes malleable.

Thoth explains that within you is the power to move forward and backward in time—by stilling your vibration, aligning to the flame within, and using intention as your compass. You become a traveler, not just of space, but of when.

He says:

This is not fantasy.

This is the protocol of immortals.

He also speaks of cycles—vast spirals of creation, destruction, and rebirth. Everything in the cosmos is moving through cycles, from the stars to your own soul. When you begin to sense these rhythms, you can align your actions, your initiations, even your deaths and rebirths with them.

This is the tablet where pattern recognition becomes sacred science.

You are taught to:

• Study the stars.

• Observe planetary rhythms.

• Watch for moments of transition.

• And above all: still your thoughts, for it is in stillness that the gates of time open.

He ends the tablet with a prophecy:

That a time will come when man once again remembers these truths—when we rise beyond the veil, reclaim our solar inheritance, and become time-walkers once more.

Time is not your master.

Time is your mirror—and when the mind is still, you step through it.

THE EMERALD TABLET X: The Key of Time

List ye, O man. Take of my wisdom.

Learn of the deep hidden mysteries of space.

Learn of the thought that grew in the abyss,

bringing Order and Harmony in space.

Know ye, O man, that all that exists

is only because of the LAW.

Know ye the LAW and ye shall be free,

never be bound by the fetters of night.

Far, through strange spaces, have I journeyed

into the depth of the abyss of time,

until in the end all was revealed.

Know ye that mystery is only mystery

when it is knowledge unknown to man.

When ye have plumbed the heart of all mystery,

knowledge and wisdom will surely be thine.

Seek ye and learn that TIME is the secret

whereby ye may be free of this space.

Long have I, Thoth, sought wisdom;

aye, and shall seek to eternity’s end

for know that ever before me receding

shall move the goal I seek to attain.

Even the LORDS of the CYCLES

know that not yet have THEY reached the goal,

for with all of their wisdom,

they know that TRUTH ever grows.

Once, in a past time, I spoke to the Dweller.

Asked of the mystery of time and space.

Asked him the question that surged in my being,

saying: “O Master, what is time?”

Then to me spoke HE, the Master:

“Know ye, O Thoth, in the beginning

there was VOID and nothingness, a timeless, spaceless nothingness.

And into the nothingness came a thought,

purposeful, all-pervading,

and it filled the VOID.

There existed no matter, only force,

a movement, a vortex, or vibration

of the purposeful thought

that filled the VOID.”

And I questioned the Master, saying:

“Was this thought eternal?”

And answered me the DWELLER, saying:

“In the beginning, there was eternal thought,

and for thought to be eternal,

time must exist.

So into the all-pervading thought

grew the LAW of TIME.

Aye, time which exists through all space,

floating in a smooth, rhythmic movement

that is eternally in a state of fixation.

Time changes not, but all things change in time.

For time is the force that holds events separate,

each in its own proper place.

Time is not in motion,

but ye move through time

as your consciousness moves from one event to another.

Aye, by time yet exist all in ALL,

an eternal ONE existence.”

Then again spoke HE to me:

“Know ye that in the beginning

there was only ONE consciousness,

and that consciousness was the eternal Light,

and it was Light that shone through the darkness.”

And the darkness is chaos.

Thus, creation came into being,

from the eternal thought.

And in the Light came the Word,

and the Word was Law,

and the Law was the beginning of all.

For from the Word came life

and the existence of all things.

And again spoke the DWELLER, saying:

“The Light, the Word, and the Law

are one in the beginning.

The Source of all is the Word,

and from the Word comes Life and the existence of all.”

And again, I asked:

“Master, what is man that he should be one with the Law?”

And he answered me, saying:

“Man is the flame born of the Light.

Without the Light, man is nothing.

Seek ye to become one with the Light;

be one with the Flame that is Life.”

I asked again:

“O Master, how shall I come to the Light?

What is the path to follow?”

And the Dweller answered:

“Darkness surrounds thee.

Find the Flame within thee,

and light the path of the soul.”

Then again spoke the Master:

“Seek and ye shall find the path.

Seek with perseverance,

and Light shall be thine.”

Then I questioned the Master, asking:

“What is the secret to time?”

And the Master answered:

“Time is the Law, which maintains order in the movement of all in space.

Time is not movement but the cause of movement.

Time is the source of order.”

Then again asked I:

“O Master, is time eternal?”

And the Dweller answered:

“In the present, time is eternal.

All is eternally present in the time-space.

Time is the eternal NOW,

not the past nor future.

All that has been or will be is the NOW.”

Then spoke the Master again:

“Man is a flame bound to a mountain,

but if he can master time,

he shall be free.”

Then shall he move in the spaces

free of the fetters of time.
