List ye, O man, and hear a mystery

stranger than all that lies ‘neath the Sun.

Know ye, O man, that all space

is filled by worlds within worlds;

aye, one within the other yet separate by Law.

Once in my search for deep buried wisdom,

I opened the door that bars THEM from man.

Called I from the other planes of being

one who was fairer than the daughters of men.

Aye, I called her from out of the spaces,

to shine as a Light in the world of men.

Used I the drum of the serpent.

Wore I the robe of the purple and gold.

Placed on my head, I, the Crown of Silver.

Around me the circle of cinnabar shone.

Raised I my arms and cried the invocation

that opens the path to the planes beyond.

Cried to the Lords of the Signs in their houses:

Lords of the two horizons,

watchers of the treble gates.

Stand ye One at the right and One at the left

as the Star rises to his throne

and rules over his sign.

Aye, thou dark prince of ARULU,

open the gates of the dim, hidden land

and release her whom ye keep imprisoned.

Hear ye, hear ye, hear ye,

dark Lords and Shining Ones,

and by their secret names,

names which I know and can pronounce,

and called HER in the space-planes beyond.

Called I by name to the seven Lords:

MIGHTY and far beyond comprehension,

whom are the Guardians of the cycles.

I called them forth from the space beyond space,

the time beyond time.

I opened the path for HER who shines forth as flame.

Came to me then the flame of the Daughter of Light.

Appeared before me in the circles of fire.

After a while she stood within my circle.

I spoke with words that burned through time

and she spoke back unto me.

“O Thoth, thou who art born of space-time,

free thou art now of the bonds of the Lords.

Go now and share this wisdom.

Be thou a flame of the shining light.”

Then I bowed in deep reverence

before the face of the flame.

She departed and left me in silence.

Know ye, O man, that I am Thoth.

I hold the flame of ancient memory,

I carry the codes of starborn awakening.

Seek ye this light.

Build it within.

Live it.

So shall ye rise
